Which Les Arcs village should you choose?
Les Arcs rises from Bourg-Saint-Maurice, where the train arrives, up to Arc 2000. Each village has its own character, and choosing the village matters as much as choosing the chalet.
Arc 1600, the original resort. Architecture by Charlotte Perriand, a village atmosphere, and a funicular from Bourg-Saint-Maurice station in 7 minutes. Chalet Saule, ski-in ski-out in Arc 1600, opens directly onto the Cachette run. In the hamlet of Courbaton, 800 metres from the centre, Chalet Doronic with a heated outdoor pool is ski-in ski-out (snow permitting) and faces Mont Blanc.
Arc 1800, the lively heart. The largest of the villages, with its shops, restaurants and views of Mont Blanc. Chalet Charvet, ski-in ski-out with an indoor pool in Arc 1800, opens directly onto the Chantel run. Just below, in a quiet hamlet, Chalet Choucas with sauna and hammam enjoys panoramic views of the Alps.
Arc 1950, the car-free village. Architecture inspired by traditional Alpine villages, no cars, at the foot of the slopes. The Arandel apartment, ski-in ski-out in Arc 1950, is in a premium residence, with sauna, hot tub and hammam.
Arc 2000, high altitude. At the foot of the Aiguille Rouge, the highest point in Les Arcs, this is the village for confident skiers.
Bourg-Saint-Maurice and its hamlets. In the hamlet of La Chenal, a few minutes from the funicular, Chalet Les Tarines, accessible to guests with reduced mobility, sleeps up to 15.
