Who are we?

Pointe de Sel is a French company founded in 2021 by Elise Turcaud.
We design and organise stays in the Alps in private chalets, winter and summer, for families, extended tribes, groups of friends and small groups looking for comfort, nature and simplicity.

Our craft is to imagine bespoke mountain holidays, in carefully selected chalets, with services designed to let everyone enjoy their stay fully without having to organise everything.

Our story

The Pointe de Sel story begins in summer 2020, during a stay in La Plagne that Elise shared with her blended family.

As in many tribes, expectations differed: some dreamed of fresh air and nature, others — the teenagers especially — were less enthusiastic about spending the week hiking. A pact was struck: no imposed programme, and a shared desire to discover the mountains differently, through varied activities that were accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

That week was a turning point.
It showed that in the mountains, there are a thousand ways to reconnect, share and marvel together, well beyond the usual clichés.

That experience gave rise to the desire to create Pointe de Sel: a structure able to support travellers in planning simpler, more human and more inspiring mountain holidays.

The company was born in early 2021, during the post-COVID reopening. From its very first season, in an unusual context, Pointe de Sel confirmed the rightness of its approach with strong client satisfaction and a reinforced conviction: the mountains are a remarkable ground for emotion, discovery and reconnection.

Why the mountains?

The mountains are at the heart of Pointe de Sel’s DNA.

It’s a destination that restores, calms and energises all at once. It offers a preserved environment, powerful landscapes, and a different rhythm, ideal for letting go. It also allows very varied desires to come together in a single stay: rest, sport, gastronomy, wellness, discovery, nature, local culture, and moments with family or friends.

We love the mountains in winter, of course, and also in summer — a season still too little known.

Summer in the mountains deserves to be experienced and celebrated: it reveals another side of the resorts and villages, softer, more contemplative, and still rich in activities and emotions.

For us, the mountains are far more than a destination: they are the ideal setting to reconnect, recharge, share and create lasting memories.

What does Pointe de Sel do?

Pointe de Sel supports its clients in crafting personalised mountain stays.

We select chalets for 4 to 15 people, and a few apartments, with particular attention to comfort, atmosphere, quality of welcome, and the overall experience. We then build, with each client, a stay that genuinely matches their rhythm, their wishes, and the make-up of their group.

Depending on needs, Pointe de Sel can include:

support in organising the stay,
activity suggestions,
concierge services,
comfort and catering services,
personalised follow-up before and during the holiday.

Our goal is simple: to let our clients experience smooth, warm, memorable mountain holidays, without having to carry the entire organisational load alone.

We’ve chosen chalets for small-to-medium groups, typically 4 to 15 people. This format favours intimacy, comfort, conviviality, and genuine quality of presence between travellers.

At Pointe de Sel, it’s not simply about booking a chalet. We support our clients in crafting an experience. During your stay, a dedicated contact can be on hand to guide, reassure, facilitate and share her advice — often in a simple, direct and warm relationship.
