How do you choose the right chalet in Méribel?
The most impressive chalet is not always the best fit for your holiday. A family with young children has different needs from a group of fifteen friends or a company on a retreat, and the number of bedrooms is only one factor.
Guests who want to unwind tend to look for an indoor pool, a sauna or a chalet with a private hot tub. Large groups look first at the living space and the size of the dining table. Others prefer a quiet chalet in a hamlet, or want to walk to the pistes every morning.

Which Méribel chalet suits your plans?
Travelling with several families. Generous living space matters most. La Ferme de Mon Grand-Père, Étoile des Neiges, Doron, Mussillon and Mathilda all let a big group share meals and evenings while keeping some privacy.
A holiday built around wellness. Indoor pool, sauna, massage room or gym: our chalets with a swimming pool turn the chalet into a destination in itself, including La Ferme de Mon Grand-Père, Chalet Mathilda, Mussillon and Mawenzi.

Where to stay in Méribel
Méribel was founded in 1938 by a Scot, Peter Lindsay, and has kept its strict building rules: timber, stone and pitched roofs. It is one of the 16 French resorts with the Top of the French Alps label. Each area offers a different kind of holiday.

Peak elevation
The Aiguille du Péclet, at 3,561 m, is the roof of the 3 Vallées. In Méribel, Mont Vallon offers a remarkable view over the Gébroulaz valley and the Vanoise National Park. Which is the best area of Méribel for a chalet?
It depends on your priorities. Méribel Village suits families, with easy access to the pistes and a village feel; Mussillon is peaceful and close to the centre; Le Raffort has the character of an authentic hamlet; Méribel Centre puts you next to the shops, restaurants and ski schools.
Are there ski-in/ski-out chalets in Méribel?
Yes. Chalet Mawenzi has true ski-in/ski-out access on the Gélinotte piste. Other chalets are a few minutes from the lifts or from the free shuttle buses.
Which Méribel chalets have an indoor swimming pool?

How do we get to Méribel?
The nearest railway station is Moûtiers, and the main airports are Geneva, Lyon and Chambéry. We can arrange private transfers from all of them straight to the chalet.
When should we book a chalet in Méribel?
The 2026-27 winter season opens on 5 December 2026 and runs until the end of April. For school holidays, including the February half-term, book several months ahead.
