🚀 Super sledging: thrills guaranteed

For more thrills, from age 13, discover the super sledges accessible by ski lift. Banked turns, tunnels, drifts and pursuits are the ingredients for a session of laughter and fun guaranteed with family or on a corporate retreat in the Alps!

French ski resorts compete in ingenuity to offer ever more sensational sledging experiences. Among them, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Méribel and Courchevel offer “super sledging” runs that promise memorable descents. Here’s a tour of these unmissable attractions.


Super sledging in La Plagne – Colorado Luge and Superluge Derby

Colorado Luge – Plagne Centre

Located at Plagne Centre, the Colorado Luge offers a 1.5 km descent with a stunning view of Mont Blanc. Accessible via the Colorado chairlift, this run is open to people taller than 1.40 m. Sledges are provided on site, and there’s no need to book in advance.

Superluge Derby – La Plagne

For an even more intense experience, the Superluge Derby offers a 5 km descent from Aime 2000 to La Roche, with an elevation drop of 450 m. This activity is supervised by professional instructors and is open to people aged 14 and over. Departure is at 5 pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

Sledging in Les Arcs – Luge 1800 and Luge 2000

Luge 1800 – Arc 1800

The Luge 1800 in Les Arcs 1800 offers a 900 m descent enhanced with sound and light effects. Accessible from age 3 (with an adult), this mountain activity is ideal for families. Departure is from the Villards gondola, and sledges and helmets are provided.

Luge 2000 – Arc 2000

For thrill-seekers, Luge 2000 offers a 3 km run with banked turns and fast sections. This activity is perfect for an outing with friends or family in search of adrenaline.


Sledging in Méribel

Mission Black Forest

The Mission Black Forest in Méribel is a 3.4 km sledging run with a 470 m elevation drop, including 28 turns through the forest. This immersive descent is open to people aged 8 and over. Sledges and helmets are provided, and the activity is open every afternoon during the winter season.

Himalaya by night in Méribel

Try sledging under the stars every Thursday of the season and race down the Little Himalaya run for 2 km in a magical atmosphere.

Sledging in Courchevel – Moriond Racing and Piste de Luge 1850

Moriond Racing – Courchevel 1650

Located close to the slopes and to your chalet rental in Courchevel, Moriond Racing is a 3 km sledging run with a 450 m elevation drop, inspired by Formula 1 circuits. The descent includes tight bends, tunnels and bridges, offering a thrilling experience for speed-lovers.

Piste de Luge 1850 – Courchevel 1850

This 2 km run links Courchevel 1850 to Courchevel Village, with a 300 m elevation drop. It is fully lit, allowing night descents. Access is free for ski pass or lift pass holders.
