When to visit Les Arcs in summer? Discover the opening dates of the Les Arcs summer season

The summer season is in full swing in Les Arcs in July and August:

• From 17 June to 7 July 2023: preview with partial opening of the area
• From 8 July to 2 September 2023 : with the opening of the entire area and its 10 ski lifts
• From 3 to 8 September 2023 : the Les Chapieux – Vallée des Glaciers and Cachette chairlifts remain open to enjoy the Indian summer.

Don’t miss the Edelweiss festival in Les Arcs as a family. This free mountain folklore festival in the streets of Bourg Saint Maurice takes place on 16 July 2023. You can experience a summer day steeped in authenticity and tradition.

You will discover the local culture and traditions through song, dance, events and encounters. The Edelweiss Festival brings together different mountain folklore groups for the pleasure of the ears but also the eyes thanks to the colours of the traditional costumes. The Les Arcs Music Festival from 16 to 28 July 2023 : This summer, you can attend free concerts in indoor or outdoor venues and on a virtual space. Also planned are all sorts of conferences, master classes around classical music and youth audience events. For the festival’s 50th anniversary, prestigious guests like Renaud and Gautier CAPUCON or Benjamin MILLEPIED will be invited.

The French Downhill Mountain Bike Championships will take place from 5 to 8 July 2023 in Arc 1600.

On 4 August 2023, in Bourg Saint Maurice, take part as a family in the night-time race through the alleyways or watch the team relay race in pairs. This MTB race takes you through the winding streets and alleys of Bourg Saint Maurice, on an urban route full of surprises.

Finally, take part in the Les Arcs Hero Game as a family, with several dates between 20 July and 24 August 2023. These outdoor challenges inspired by the Mud Days are ideal for adventure fans and to be lived in a group, and shared as a family. Everyone will need to help each other to get through the various trials: ten obstacles set up on a 1,500 m course (crossings, passing under nets, mud baths and other surprises, etc.).
